I believe Daniel Padilla & Kathryn Bernardo movie for 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival will be a box office hit!

Advance congratulations! I believe the new Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo horror movie entry Pagpag for the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in the Philippines will be a big box office hit!

This movie project will have Mother Lily Y. Monteverde's Regal Films as co-producer, she told me last night July 26, 2013 during late dinner at her residence in Greenhills, San Juan City.

Mother Lily mentioned this film project to me when I told her that this young actor Daniel is phenomenal in popularity, especially among the young generation here in the Philippines.

The MMFF is an annual project during the Christmas and New Year season, when most people are enjoying their year-end bonuses and 13th month pay, that the government and local film producers impose a protectionist period of two weeks when only selected Philippine-produced movies can be shown in the national capital region of Metro Manila. This has spread nationwide too.

Congratulations to Star Cinema, Regal Films, the popular young stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

All the people connected with this show are talented, such as the four singing stars who are coaches--- Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, Bamboo Mañalac and Apl.de.Ap---and the talented hosts Toni Gonzaga, Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga.

Of course, last but not the least, I'm very impressed and even at times awed with the contestants!

I personally admire the Cinderella "rags-to-riches" life story, immense talents, discipline, extraordinary professionalism, sense of humor and humility of Sarah Geronimo. What I noticed about coach Sarah is that she's very encouraging and positive in her words to contestants, whether chosen or not. She's also a natural comedian and very good actress, which are exhibited on this show too!

Bamboo is a revelation to me in this TV show, I'm acquainted with his great music and talents, but I didn't follow his life story or know his personality at all before this TV show, and I'm impressed by his intelligence and artistry as expressed in The Voice TV show. Interesting to observe the talented self-made musical star Apl.de.Ap express himself and also reveal his thoughts and emotions in The Voice. This half Kapampangan is proud of his roots, not ashamed of his past as a poor boy, and he is quite sympathetic to those contestants who are struggling in life and are close to their family members. Congratulations to fast-rising, talented Philippine teen-aged actor and Got To Believe star Daniel Padilla for becoming the new celebrity endorser of the brand Lily’s Peanut Butter along with his actress-mother Karla Estrada. The new  endorsement deal was announced on July 2, 2013.

One of his commercial endorsements is Nescafe, which he endorses along with his uncle Robin Padilla.

"IT TAKES A MAN AND A WOMAN" MAKES HISTORY AS THE SECOND HIGHEST-GROSSING FILIPINO FILM OF ALL-TIME

After earning P345 million in less than three weeks in cinemas nationwide, the Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz-starrer "It Takes a Man and a Woman" is now officially the second highest-grossing Filipino film of all time and the biggest earning non-Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) local movie.

The third installment of the hit romantic-comedy film series directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina broke the record of the comedy flick "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin" starring Vice Ganda, which earned P331 million during its theatrical run in 2011. “It Takes a Man and a Woman” is now second in terms of total box-office earnings after the 2012 MMFF entry "Sisterakas" starring the comedy trio of Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and AiAi delas Alas, which raked P391 million during its run in cinemas nationwide. All three top-grossers-- "Sisterakas," "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," and "It Takes a Man and a Woman"--are co-productions of Star Cinema and Viva Films.

Meanwhile, “It Takes a Man and a Woman” screenwriter Carmi Raymundo recently revealed that the much talked about wedding vows of Laida and Miggy that made everyone in cinemas cry were written by Sarah and John Lloyd themselves.

"Direk Cathy and I told Sarah and Lloydie that we want them to write Miggy and Laida's wedding vows. Gusto ko din kasi marinig from them kung ano sa tingin nila yung learnings ng characters nila," explained Carmi, who was also the headwriter of the first two installments of the series namely “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life.” "Both were nervous kung kaya ba nila magsulat but they were very excited. When they showed me what they wrote, I knew right away that they wrote from the hearts of their characters. They were so sincere, ang ganda!"

Carmi further shared that Sarah and John Lloyd's self-made vows were so beautifully written that she almost did not edit it. "Konti na lang ang inayos ko. Their vows made the ending of Laida and Miggy's love story a thousand times more special because they spoke their own words. As a writer, yun na ang gift ko sa kanila: to let them speak their own words. In the end, parang naging buhay na talaga sila Miggy at Laida," Carmi related.

Zulueta, who hosted the coronation night with host-singer Martin Nievera, landed on list of top trending topics on microblogging site Twitter during the pageant's airing on ABS-CBN -- and well after.

The hashtag #Dawn Zulueta was still at No. 1 on Monday morning as she received praises from fellow celebrities and ordinary netizens.
